Paranormal State Fake?

March 24, 2008

Well its another week, another episode of A&E’s Paranormal State. This weeks episode was with a girl named Liana who claims of seeing a black mist and feeling a presence. Some of the things I found to be kind of leery was first off the client Liana claims to have been getting nauseous but yet the team finds a very high read of EMF (electro magnetic field) which we all know can cause the feeling of nausea and headaches, or even the feeling of being watched. What I did find kind of weird was the poster in her closet with the Hello tags just saying “hell”. That kind of struck me funny.

One thing that I didn not really understand was she said she believed she was seeing paranormal or was even possessed but she told Ryan that she didn’t know if she believed in God or the Devil. That just doesn’t make sense! How can you believe in the afterlife but yet don’t believe in the two sides? Ryan once put a medallion in her hand and asked her how she felt but yet she didn’t or couldn’t come up with an answer. Sounds to fishy to me.

Another thing that really bugs me about the Paranormal State is that it just seems to scripted to me. For example, They go on all these cases some close some far away and yet they always call in the same medium, Chip Coffee, To me that just don’t seem right. If these guys are all supposed to be investigators why do they need to keep bringing in help? Where are all there instruments, All I see so far are microphones, cameras, and EMF readers. I did however see a thermo cam in tonights episode, but when they went and investigated that “light” that came into the girls window, why didn’t they use it when they went in?

Well here they go into the girls room to investigate the “light” that appeared in the window and say they discovered the blanket on the bed all shuffled up. My question is why didnt they use the thermo to see if there were any hot spots on the bed where someone or something was sitting or at? How come the camera that was set up not catch nothing when it was being unraveled.

I hate to say it, but I do not believe the Paranormal State. I do think it is all scripted. If you ask me I think that when people call with one of those “Most Extreme Cases” then they call or meet with the clients and maybe conspire on what the next episode would be about. I think that Ghost Hunters, who always go in to disprove a haunting with the right tools, should follow behind Paranormal State and see if they can catch anything themselves, or at least debunk PRS directors log.

Whats your thoughts? Register and leave them, we are very curious to hear what our readers have to say, We are just a few with our own opinions and we value others.

I know this girl seemed like fake, but are you serious about the thermo? they brought the thermo into the room when they were checking the bed, and they did catch something on it, I guess you were more worried about the fake girl.. I totally agree with you about the girl, but don’t make conclusions like that, first make sure what you’re talking about..

From what I understand, Grant & Jason did give Paranormal State their start. I do not care for Chip Coffey. I thought he was a goof when I saw him on Paranormal State. I feel he is a big hinderance to the show. Because of him,
I will not watch the show. The episode I saw, he was in a house, said the letter
‘M’ came to him for some reason. Later in the episode he went outside, saw a
gravestone with the name ‘Margaret’ on it and freaked out! He is supposedly an
‘expert’ in his field and he freaks out!?
